Canadians deserve the chance to vote on Mark Carney's deal with China | Toronto Sun torontosun.com/news/national/…

As @JoshDehaas of the @CDNConstFound wrote: “If you value your constitutional rights to protest the government and to not have your bank accounts frozen without police showing a very good reason first, you owe Jason Kenney a beer. One so far overlooked aspect of the Federal Court of Canada’s explosive declaration earlier this week that Justin Trudeau’s invocation of the Emergencies Act was illegal is just how crucial Kenney’s decision to stand up for provincial jurisdiction proved to be.” readtheline.ca/p/josh-dehaas-…

Nobody voted for a New World Order. @MarkJCarney campaigned on a trade deal with the USA. Instead he flushed the relationship with our best customer down the toilet.

Canada is trying to destroy the North American auto industry. nytimes.com/2026/01/16/wor…

Alberta’s government has always stated that trade tariffs are harmful and only serve to raise consumer prices, limit choice and innovation, and damage businesses and producers. We therefore welcome the reduction of Chinese tariffs on our canola and pea producers, and hope to see a similar reduction of Chinese tariffs on Canadian pork and other products in the near future. I trust that Canadian security authorities will take any measures necessary to ensure all vehicles and other products sold into Canada pose no threat to our nation's privacy laws or national security interests. We also welcome the recognition of the important role oil and gas will play in expanding Canada’s bilateral trade relationship with China.

We don't need an inquiry to tell us what patients, families and ER RNs and MDs will attest. We say Canada erroneously gutted our hospitals, left ERs to languish and average Canadians paid the price. Our most devasting policy mistake in our history. 👇👇 I fear with this inquiry - the nurses and doctors on duty will be scapegoated when they were the firefighters sent on duty to a forest blaze with garden hoses. There have been important publicized deaths in Canada in ERs - where I work. The unified message is clear - ERs across Canada simply do not have the staff, beds and resources to do our core job. Our core job is the diagnosis and treatment of unforeseen and time dependent illness and injury. In a nation as blessed as ours - we should be able to do this. theglobeandmail.com/canada/article…
