To keep going, she sings softly a traditional Palestinian folk tune, a call of warmth and familiarity in a place where even water has to be carried home.
Between the water truck and her tent, the song becomes her distraction, her escape.
This is daily life in Gaza for our Palestinian children - resilience not as an abstract concept, but in survival, practical actions to get through the day, singing while work is done.

According to the data, the army is missing about 12,000 soldiers in compulsory service, of whom about 6,000 to 7,500 are fighters.
The army described a reality of "deep burnout among regular and reserve soldiers," stemming from the operational need to conduct combat on seven fronts simultaneously – alongside thousands of casualties that have been deducted from the manpower and the combat array in particular.

Hezbollah destroyed and disabled multiple M113s on this same day, one of which had to be detonated by the occupation army after it was hit by a FPV.

Bab el-Mandeb carries 15+ undersea cables, twice as much as Hormuz, transmitting 90 percent of all Europe-Asia bandwidth. A single dragged anchor damaged 15 cables in the strait in September 2025. Iran would control the digital connection between the world's two largest economic zones. The strait is also the southern chokepoint for the Suez corridor, carrying roughly 30 percent of global container traffic between Asia and Europe.
