My hot take: I don’t think Trump really cares what happens to the GOP in 2026 or 2028. He and his family will be set with their billions of additional dollars from this very successful grifting. If the GOP loses big in 2028, he can just tell everyone that he was the only candidate who could have won and JD is a loser in comparison or whatever. SCOTUS has given him criminal immunity now.
