@LindaKasonde What's your take in the new Non bailable Law?

How many of you have been falsely accused of rape so far? Or know someone who was falsely accused?

Vietnam was colonized by the French, bombed to pieces, and left with nothing. Today it's kicking our asses back home in Africa. At some point we have to stop making excuses.

If KK hadn’t worked hard to help destabilize S.Rhodesia, by now we would have lost Lstone, Chirundu, Kariba Dam and so on. They would have called it the Rhodesia buffer zone. Munali Hills <-> Golan Heights. We talk about KK helping to free Southern African. I now believe these actions primarily served Zambia and ensured we didn’t lose any territory. Today we all see what it’s like to have a hyper militaristic colonialist in your vicinity. History says we actually lived it - the whole 9 yards with Zambia being bombed, raids, assassination attempts etc. Our history would have been peppered with even more atrocities against our people.

So, he didn't call you. And you have no idea if Mojtaba is in control of his faculties and calling any shots. You were the head of an intelligence branch? What branch was that exactly? And you left as a Major -- after all those years? That's weird...

BREAKING: President Trump says China has agreed not to send weapons to Iran.

NEW: 🇺🇸🇨🇳 Senator Rick Scott says he wants to destroy the Chinese economy so much that he is fine with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the high oil prices: “I think blocking the Strait of Hormuz is fine from my standpoint If no oil ever goes to China again, and their economy is destroyed, that would be a really wonderful day for me.”

I’m just shocked that those were bailable offences in the first place lol come on..

I am still of the opinion that this is bad law. Before this law, bail was granted on a case to case basis and for me, that was the best approach. This however, will have accused persons punished before being found guilty. It goes against the presumption of innocence. Denial of bail, should never be looked at as a form of punishment and a deterrent measure for other will-be offenders, because at the point of bail, we are unsure of the guilt or innocence of the accused person. We should be moving towards making more offences bailable, as long as accused persons meet the requirements for admission to bail. Also, considering our President at one point was charged with a non bailable offence on charges that many say were trumped up for close to, or over half a year, I expected that we learned from that… but here we are, increasing the number of non- bailable offences.
