Can I ask all you lovely GPs or nurses that’s specialise in mirena coils. R u not allowed to put in mirena for menopausal women for hrt ? And is there a health reason for this ? Only women with periods allowed to get one ? Thank you 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sometimes I worry that my patients know the best way to influence my clinical decision making (PS this did not influence my attempt at evidence-based practice).

@RoseStokes Babies cry. That’s it. Babies cry not necessarily because they’re cold, hungry, wet, scared, thirsty….. but because it’s the only noise they know how to make. Cuddle your baby when they cry, not to stop baby crying but just to provide loving arms to make baby feel secure.

Parents! If you could go back and give yourself one piece of advice for becoming a parent for the first time, what would it be? I'll go first: not everything "means" or indicates something. Sometimes a baby is behaving a certain way just because they're a baby.

I'm not against doctors being paid more. But worth noting, this £14 an hour figure is only for a newly graduated doctor's first year in the job, it equates to £29k a year and then continues to go up. You can also earn more doing overtime/ weekend / night shifts, I believe.

Consultant kind enough to buy an Easter egg for each of us with little kidney stickers with our names on. Ward clerk just walked in, grabbed the Easter egg off the desk next to me while I was working, walked off and has apparently gone home. I have to laugh but also wtaf.
