@cindyw_watson Some parents I know have had this experience with you. We have emailed our support for issues you oppose and our opposition to issues you support. Yet you don’t raise our voices or our opinions during your meetings. Why is that? Are you pushing your own ideologies?

@ESL_fairy @jdeq @jinxtea29 Actually in WRDSB, elementary is down to two teacher librarians in our 104 schools. I know because I was one of three positions cut in 2019. It is still devastating to me.
English

@jdeq @jinxtea29 Hmmm I think we only have 3-4 actual “teacher-librarians” in our entire board (WRDSB) working from the board office (and they also have digital roles), and then library clerks (many of whom are only part time) in the elementary schools doing all of the checking out, shelving, etc

January 31, four days into the occupation, Bergen told two protesters "We are in full support of you guys...Don’t stop. It’s working.”

CPC Interim Leader Candice Bergen now wants to the protests to end. “I believe the time has come for you to take down the barricades, stop the disruptive action and come together. The economy you want to see re-opened, is hurting … I believe this is not what you want to do.”

@realJ_Mitchell @Jessifer @HDSB_TheShift I’ve been doing this this year too! I have some refining to do but I feel so much better about the whole assessment process because of it.

I tried out #UnGrading for the first time this semester. It was something I had wanted to do for awhile but some learning with @Jessifer and @HDSB_TheShift pushed me over the edge.
We used portfolios and interviews to co-construct marks with our Grade 9 Math students.
