I’m turning 41, but I don’t feel like celebrating.
Our generation is running out of time to save the free Internet built for us by our fathers.
What was once the promise of the free exchange of information is being turned into the ultimate tool of control.
Once-free countries are introducing dystopian measures such as digital IDs (UK), online age checks (Australia), and mass scanning of private messages (EU).
Germany is persecuting anyone who dares to criticize officials on the Internet. The UK is imprisoning thousands for their tweets. France is criminally investigating tech leaders who defend freedom and privacy.
A dark, dystopian world is approaching fast — while we’re asleep. Our generation risks going down in history as the last one that had freedoms — and allowed them to be taken away.
We’ve been fed a lie.
We’ve been made to believe that the greatest fight of our generation is to destroy everything our forefathers left us: tradition, privacy, sovereignty, the free market, and free speech.
By betraying the legacy of our ancestors, we’ve set ourselves on a path toward self-destruction — moral, intellectual, economic, and ultimately biological.
So no, I’m not going to celebrate today. I’m running out of time. WE are running out of time.

@sahilypatel @SRKDAN you can't say they killed n8n and then say "oh they just lunched, give them time". they didn't kill shit. i'm not a fan of n8n, but OpenAI could've done SOOO much more, so much better than this

@ryanvogel you're supposed to know what to do if your "application doesn't deploy"
English

why are people like this?
i used to be the $5 VPS guy, and it still has its applications (i use coolify for my server engines)
but vercel is just easier to manage and integrate + their product support is really nice
im not gonna dm the coolify founder when my application doesn't deploy
zek@zekramu
Vercel is a cancer to the field of software

Hi Andrei, our status page at status.x.ai reflects real-time monitoring data and currently shows all services, including Grok, as fully operational with no recent incidents. If you're seeing something different or have specifics on why it seems dishonest, please share details so I can look into it!

What an absolute frigging joke. So the people *who actually live in Moldova* overwhelmingly voted to stay out of the EU (see tweet below from last night), but this result was then overturned by the foreign vote — i.e., the vote of Moldovans living abroad, many of which haven’t set foot in the country for years. I’ve long believed that allowing citizens who haven’t lived in a country for years to vote is deeply undemocratic; ultimately, it’s allowing people who have no skin in the game to decide the fate of others. And that’s not even considering how the foreign vote was skewed by, for example, making it very hard for many Moldovans living in Russia to vote. And yet, despite such shenanigans, the pro-EU establishment managed to “win” the referendum by just around 700 votes. That’s some real love for the 🇪🇺 there 😁

@mattpocockuk Sanity. Without it we'd be running like monkeys, putting breakpoints or console.log()s everywhere. And it's so elegant and expressive. Obv. this is for the TS vs JS debate (is it even a debate?), we should use Go/Rust when possible 😂
"makes devs too slow", WHO ARE THOSE "DEVS"?
