I don’t get the national coverage of the boat race anymore. 2 posh universities causing massive disruption where most of the country couldn’t give a damn who wins. Yes it’s tradition but …. #boatrace

A published reprimand would have serve to underline company policy and warn employees without sacking . Wonder how many managers have broken rules

@ArchRose90 @JohnCleese @waitrose Seems he was sacked for not following instructions by Waitrose to not approach shoplifters. They have that instruction in place to protect its staff. They have had staff hospitalised previously. It was pretty easy to get that info on the internet.

This is Walker Smith. After dedicating 17 years to Waitrose, he was recently dismissed. The reason? For attempting to stop a shoplifter nicking Easter eggs. Yes you read that right. He should be applauded, not sacked. Shameful @waitrose. Re-employ Walker Smith!

@ArchRose90 @waitrose . Waitrose should be ashamed to sack a loyal worker of 17yrs . A reprimand would have done . It’s sent out the wrong message to staff, customers and thieves . Shop staff suffer regular grief unlike those hiding behind management doors. One error under pressure deserves better

I don’t understand this Scott Mills scandal. He was investigated by police 10yrs ago over alleged offences 25+ years ago, but no action was taken and case was closed. Now he gets instantly fired over same thing? The BBC needs to explain why, surely?
