I have decided that since I'm living in the Hudson Valley region of this fine state of ours, I'm going to start rating chicken wings. To give my readers a sense of my pallet, my favorite wings back home are Bar Bill and Gene McCarthy's. I'm yet to try Nine Eleven Tavern.

Let’s take all the whining about Bills ticket costs, the boohoo for me all over twitter and spin it into something that benefits someone who has already paid their hard earned $$$ to see the Bills this year. I am giving away 2 Sabres VS Habs tickets for game 5 Thursday night. I will only give them away to a PSL paying current Buffalo Bills season ticket holder though & whoever receives the tickets must go to the game themselves. Beyond that there is no BS here. No raffle that charges $$ for an entry that actually profits a ton of $$, no “like, follow, retweet” BS that uses a giveaway as a means to gain followers or market a business. I’m giving away tickets I paid a grand for to a season ticket holding supporter of the Buffalo Bills. Comment “Go Sabres” to enter. I’ll put all names into a randomizer and pick a winner tomorrow night. I’ll reach out, if the winner can prove they are a current Bills STH I’ll send the seats. #BillsMafia #SabreHood

The 49ers and Rams will play Thursday, Sept. 10 at 5:35 p.m. PT at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia. Due to the 17-hour time difference, the 49ers and Rams will take the field Friday at 10:35 a.m. (AEST) in Melbourne, with the game airing Thursday evening in the United States.

@MadisonMessiah @iJordanMoore Agree - also don't want guys losing their club coaches for a few weeks, they're all probably rehabbing, working through things, etc. Would benefit fans stuck in the dog days, but would hurt the clubs trying to find rhythm for an August push towards October

Don’t get me wrong, I love that the World Baseball Classic is happening right now. But imagine how much better it would be if MLB just took 2 weeks off in the summer around the All-Star break and played the WBC every couple of years. Similar to what the NHL does with Four Nations. Midseason. Players in rhythm. No pitch limits. No spring ramp-up. Just elite talent.

@rationalyankee Agreeing with others, the issue is blackouts. We don't need more national broadcasts, we need easier access to local broadcast, and easier access to out of market games. We often watch nat'l Mets games muted, sometimes turn on the radio broadcast & sync with the tv.

We saw the Scott Boras comments a while back about how MLB hasn’t acquired its value in its media rights deals, which is fueling the financial discrepancies in revenues between teams across the league. The NBA generates about $7B in revenue in its media rights deal while MLB generates roughly $1B. Huge gap. The reason for the discrepancy is that in its last media rights negotiation, the NBA was able to package the media rights of all of its teams into one deal. MLB has allowed each of its teams to negotiate their own rights, which has created the fractured and unequal landscape we have today. By packaging all of its teams into one deal, the NBA has been able to get more of its stars in front of a national audience on a regular basis. Prominent NBA teams play a higher percentage of their games on national TV than MLB teams do. The Yankees are contractually limited to 17 national TV games per year. The Golden State Warriors will play 34 of their 82 games on national TV. But if MLBs plan is to mirror the NBA and get more national TV games in 2028 once it has the ability to renegotiate its media rights deal, what happens to local broadcasters? Most fanbases prefer their local broadcast to a national one. I think we’re seeing a preview of that with NBC/Peakcock right now. They’ll incorporate local TV broadcasts into the nationally televised games. It’s going to be interesting to see the changes MLB makes in 2028 with how it delivers content. Hopefully way fewer blackouts. But it also raises the question as to how the players and owners are supposed to negotiate a CBA for 2027 when the media rights for the whole league reset in 2028.

@leveragedbets @ownsomeshares One guy knows about cet par, everyone else lives in the real world. Calling people morons because they don't know / care about theory from a 300 level econ class is a weird flex, stock price isn't tied to future divs anymore. Also, your application of theory is flawed. NPV?

Just tried explaining to someone when a stock pays a 6% dividend that means the stock drops 6% a year and they make nothing. Didn’t go so well.

Sean McDermott neutered Josh Allen. Josh Allen is an alpha. He’s goofy. He jokes around. He makes dumb jokes, locker-room jokes, says things that make teammates laugh. That’s part of who he is and part of why guys gravitate toward him. But over time, you could tell he started acting differently. He was more buttoned up, more careful, more like he was trying to say whatever would appease McDermott. Even in social media clips around his coach, he didn’t feel loose anymore. He felt like he was playing a role, not being himself. McDermott always seemed uncomfortable with chemistry. He didn’t like coaches getting close to players. He didn’t like players bonding too much. He treated everything like a strict employer-employee relationship, not what a football locker room actually is. This is a team sport. It’s a room full of grown men who joke around, talk shit, build trust, and feed off each other’s energy. That stuff matters. It’s not all faith, discipline, and structure. You don’t win championships by draining the humanity and fun out of your best players. When you constantly tighten the reins, you don’t just remove distractions — you remove joy, confidence, and trust. And when your franchise quarterback feels like he has to constantly self-edit, you’re not getting the best version of him. Now that those reins are gone, Josh can just go play football again. Be himself. Ball out. Lead the way he naturally leads. And that’s really the whole point. Talent didn’t change. The environment did. #BillsMafia
