1991 WS Gm2: Hrbek lifts Gant off the bag for the out. The only person in the world who honestly thought Gant just decided to do a one armed hand stand while being tagged was the umpire. If you’ve never seen this watch it, it’s crazy.

My dad introduced me to baseball almost 4 decades ago, and I’ve been in love with the Texas @Rangers since. I didn’t get to call him tonight to celebrate, and I bet he wouldn’t have believed me that it happened. But here we are. The Texas Rangers are World Series champions.

@UConn_Husky_Fan @peytonyager @Allen_Police @FOX4 From what I could see, it was a smart move — in the car he’d have to navigate the traffic, which would have slowed him down. On foot he was more nimble.
Either way it’s easy for us to second guess and speculate from afar. Mostly am thankful for this brave officer.
