@Redheadmacdaddy @AndrewDudum theres always some bumpiness around hims earnings. this is a really high volume/volatility stock. probably investors keep hoping for a blowout quarter and then find that hims only did well. zoom out a smidge and this business fundamentals are looking great.

@signulll when i was a senior in college (2017), my friends and i all made google adwords accts and put our uber codes on google. at the time, you got $20 dollars off ubers/eats per referral. we got multiple hundreds of referrals. helped me get through college with those subsidized meals.

when dropbox first dropped their referral program, i spun up google ads… spent maybe $10 total & walked away with 1TB of free storage. easiest growth hack of my life. what’s the biggest “hack” you’ve ever pulled?

@HaydenWinks Ancedotal, but I feel like I saw mahomes and Josh Allen also throwing a ton of screen passes this season. Does data back this up? Is this a counter to seeing a lot of 2 deep safeties?

USC really had Caleb Williams throw 137 screens last year, by far most in Power 5. They didn't work either (6.0 YPA and 34% success rate). What a waste.

@Lons Yeah this is me. I basically watch all the marvel content, but only go see a few of the movies in theaters. 10 movies have come out since End Game and ive only seen 4 of them in theaters. Just sort of depends for me if its a character i really like

Also I'm sure there are lots of people who still generally like the MCU but just skipped this one theatrically. It's a new normal and I think our box office expectations/prognostications have yet to adjust to how fickle audiences are about to become.

Maybe it's not really about quality or the pandemic or MCU specifics or even "superhero fatigue." Maybe it's been 15 years and tastes just shifted. I'm sure Western and Musicals once seemed like they'd be dominant forever, too. twitter.com/ScottMendelson…

Being a PM is sort of like being a mexican food truck: you are dispensing same info to people in different formats. Occasionally someone says "I don't understand this taco slide — what would that mean in burrito terms?" and you go "fuck, I didn't know this was a burrito meeting."

@jeazous @Austen Idk where youre getting coffee from, but if i go to starbux, a medium iced coffee is 4.35. If we're talking at-home coffee then i do pay 16 bucks for a bag of nice beans, but i get like 20 coffees from it so thats <$1 per coffee. (That could be lower if i bought cheaper beans)

@Austen It’s the damn lifestyle that’s expensive. Imagine paying $8-$14 for coffee alone.

Conversation I had recently: Me: “His total comp is around $750k/yr, he’s doing fantastic.” Other person: “Yeah but that’s in the Bay Area where cost of living is high, so that’s not very much.” …Living in the bay area is very expensive, but it’s not *that* expensive.
