You can stand where Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina all meet, but it’s one of those quiet, tucked-away places that doesn’t scream for attention. Located near the Savannah River, this spot offers a peaceful moment where the states converge. No big crowds, no flashy tourist attractions—just a simple marker and the natural beauty stretching across state lines. From this spot, you get a unique view of the landscape where three Southern states come together in one place. It’s easy to miss if you’re not looking closely, but once you find it, it’s a pretty cool feeling standing at the meeting point of three states at once.

NASA says some of the Apollo landing sites will be visible at the very beginning of the Artemis II lunar flyby on Monday. They’ll say exactly what ones in the daily briefing tomorrow. That means moon landing deniers are going to have real bad day on Monday.

We’re halfway there. At the time of posting this, the Artemis II mission is about halfway to the Moon. When the astronauts arrive, they will conduct a lunar flyby and collect scientific observations of the Moon’s surface.

Watching NASA TV on YouTube – Artemis just restarted the clock at T-10:00 minutes and counting. "We're going for all of humanity." -Artemis Crew

We're going around the Moon. Come watch with us. Artemis II's four-astronaut crew is lifting off from @NASAKennedy on an approximately 10-day mission that will bring us closer to living on the Moon and Mars. The launch window opens at 6:24pm ET (2224 UTC). twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…

If you were born after 19:45:58 UTC on December 19, 1972, you have not been alive during a time when a crewed lunar spaceflight was underway. This is approximately 75% of the global population. That could change as soon as Wednesday evening with the planned launch of Artemis II. Hundreds of thousands of people near Kennedy Space Center will see the launch with their own eyes and likely millions will watch live online. If you can't make it out in person, I hope you'll tune in and watch as NASA makes its first attempt to send Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen into space and around the Moon this week. It is not often you have the opportunity to witness a historic moment in real time. Please watch and soak it in, and after launch, look up at the Moon and smile knowing that our great return to the lunar environment is well underway. Godspeed, Artemis II!

Detours & signage are a thing. I don't know if that was considered by @GDOTATL for exit 39B SB from 285 to 78 tonight. Road Construction, which certainly was planned, should have included closing the exit; the open lane(s) can't handle this volume. 30+min to go around this loop

@SecretFire79 There's just enough credibility (and genuine ridiculousness in the environment) that this type of thing isn't completely *in*credible. e.g. big-ass confederate battle flags at the highway crossings into some states in the area

BAPTIST IDOLATRY The largest Baptist church in Alabama has announced plans to build a 120-foot statue of President Trump on its campus as a "token of appreciation for what God has done for the United States under his leadership." Church leaders say the monument will overlook the campus in a pose that some observers noted bears a striking resemblance to the famous Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro. When asked about the similarity, one of the church board members clarified the difference: "That statue in Brazil is an idol, this is simply a respectful tribute to the greatest leader in all of world history, who just happens to have been divinely chosen." Plans reportedly include a viewing platform at the base of the statue, a gift shop selling commemorative hats and devotional coffee mugs, and nightly lighting so the statue can be seen from several counties away. The lead pastor emphasized that the project is not meant to replace worship to God but rather to "encourage gratitude towards God, and of course patriotism, and the occasional selfie." Construction is expected to begin once enough donations are collected, which organizers say should happen quickly since "patriotic generosity is practically a spiritual gift around here." Church leaders added that anyone comparing the monument to a golden calf is "missing the point entirely," noting that the statue will be made of reinforced concrete, not gold.

@PeteButtigieg @SabrinaHogan I could have heard this news from anyone, and hearing it from you, Mr Pete, adds to both the satisfaction of an overdue action, and also the seriousness of the continued work ahead to undo what this deeply unserious administration has done and continues to do.

Of course, Kristi Noem deserved to be fired. But rather than spend energy celebrating this Trump setback, let's recognize that the disaster of today’s DHS runs much deeper than the (former) Secretary's incompetence - and keep stepping up the political pressure.
