I’m in Dar es Salaam, an acquaintance’s invite to a casual dinner turned into one of the most refreshing conversations I’ve had in a while. Gents from across Africa discussing identity, opportunity, leadership, and the future of Brand Africa; respectfully, honestly, and progressively. Wondered if this could be a regular feature on my calendar!

Identify a branch (club) near you: toastmasters.org/Find-a-club. Contact the club on the available details and let them know you’d like to visit to experience at least one of their sessions. Someone will then help you from there. (If you struggle, DM, me know perhaps I can get you assistance.

Last week was a great week. I didn’t even feel the week ending. I was on a “roll” This week was jam packed, and right now, I have adrenaline rush from this mornings talk and reliving the moments. But I think I am mentally tired. I need to sleep, but I still have preps to do 🤣😑

Armchair critics forget that real decisions carry real consequences. Leadership isn’t a popularity contest; it’s navigating tough conversations with composure, even when the world is watching and judging from the sidelines. There is more to it than what meets the eye.

Easter reminds me that no matter how dark the Friday, Sunday is coming. Death is defeated. Hope is restored. A new beginning awaits all who believe. Christ is risen and so can we: from despair, from fear, from shame. Hope is alive. Wamuka Muponesi #Catholic #Easter

The 10th Station of the Cross: Jesus is Stripped of His Garments Jesus arrives at Calvary. Before crucifying Him, the soldiers strip Him of His garments, leaving Him exposed to shame and mockery. The very clothes that offered Him some dignity are torn away, and He stands humiliated before the crowd. This moment reminds us of the times we are stripped not only of material things but of pride, status, comfort, or reputation. In these moments, we are called to imitate Christ’s humility. Prayer: Lord Jesus, as You were stripped of Your garments, help us to strip away our pride and the desire to compare ourselves to others. Teach us to find our worth in Your love alone, and to see our neighbors not as competitors, but as fellow children of God. Grant us the grace to let go of earthly riches and to seek only the treasures of heaven. May we live humbly, seeking only Your approval and not the fleeting praise of the world. Amen. #GoodFriday #Catholic

Today, the 🇿🇼’s flag hangs heavy, with the weight of her people’s dreams. Good Friday reminds us that the greatest victories begin in silence, on a hill, with blood, (and surrender.) However, we must look toward the Resurrection. We must look forward to this flag flying high (again). Not today, the ‘3rd day’ will come… To be Zimbabwean is to carry both grief and grit. To believe when belief seems foolish. To plant, even when the rains delay. So today, let’s not just think of the present gloom, but the people who still rise — every mother at dawn in the market, every father maneuvering each hurdles every youth with a dream, every elder with a prayer, we will rise. 🕯️ #GoodFriday #ZimAt45

Many fears can dwell within us and terrible injustices surround us, but a new world has already been born. God so loved the world that he gave us his Son, Jesus. He pours balm upon our wounds and wipes away our tears. #HolyThursday vatican.va/content/france…

@khayadlanga Khaya, this is powerful. That moment when doubt creeps in, then purpose reminds you; you’re not there to impress, but to serve. Real greatness never postures. It listens. Connects. Thank you for this reminder: it’s not about being important, but about being impactful. Congrats!

What nobody really tells you about speaking at the main TED Talk global conference is how small you feel before stepping onto that stage. You think about all the incredible and groundbreaking achievements, scientists, artists, thinkers, you start asking yourself: what have I actually done? Why did I agree to this? Who do I think I am? And then, just as the self-doubt knocks you over the head, one of the organisers says: “Do you honestly think we’d have invited you if we didn’t believe you belonged here?” And suddenly, you remember. It’s not about you. You’re a vessel. And yes, you tell yourself, even if I shake, I will do it. Before and after, I met some of the most generous, grounded, and quietly brilliant people I’ve ever come across. Some of who are literally saving the world. And not once did anyone carry the weight of their achievements like a crown. It’s as if what you’ve accomplished matters far less than who you are. What matters more is your humanity, not what you have done, your accomplishments are but a bonus that earn you seat at the table. Not that I am saying I have some special humanity. Just a great space to find yourself in.

Me says; the most powerful stage presence? Being authentic! Privileged to have had an audience of the convention attendees of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa and abroad. Most of which I look up to. #RedefiningLeadership #PSASA #InvoiceYourVoice

Sahwira. Ash Wednesday is upon us. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. Lent is very important to me. It reminds me that our lives are brief and fragile. More importantly, it is a time to reflect on the significance of salvation, devote myself to prayer, supplication, and almsgiving. Moyo musande kwazvo waYesu, mutiitiro tsitsi. 🙏 AMDG
