mistakes are the main factor of success. if you didn't get to the point you want - you've probably didn't fail enough time. I've learned it from Marc Lou and his 21 (this number is insane) failures. hopefully you can learn too. break1tdown.com/breakdowns/mar…

You know the secret to growth on twitter? Just consistency. GROWTH CHALLENGE DAY 13. Today didn't feel like doing a lot but did the challenge quota. But there's a catch below👇

you’re overthinking your app idea 😭 this app is making $100K/mo and it's basically just a visual planner you organize your tasks plan your day and set reminders they didn't reinvent productivity they just made it easier to know what to do next people pay for simplicity

why would it forget the price? If a person wants freedom and they in the most cases don't have it they will study how to get it. and doesn't matter if they understood it yet or no they will find out that discipline is a part to it. I also don't get the take with freedom without discipline? discipline with regards to what? why is it captivity? what?

A generation obsessed with freedom often forgets the price of it. Every meaningful achievement is built on self-imposed discipline. Freedom without discipline eventually becomes another form of captivity.

App #4 ready 🎉 Submitting to the App store tomorrow! It took a long time. But every second is worth. I am planning to run ads on this app because I have put a lot of time and efforts in building it so want to double down on marketing on this one. Let’s see how it goes 🤞

I'm building 100 apps. 3 done. 97 to go. Not 100 perfect apps. Not 100 winners. Just 100 shipped. Most will flop and that's the whole point, because every flop teaches me something the next one gets to use. Most devs spend a year polishing one app that dies anyway. I'd rather ship 100 and let the market tell me which one's worth betting on. Following my own advice: speed is the only edge an indie has.

New X algo is sooo good. All people i know and like are back. So let me tell you what im doing: Im rebuilding my failed Saas Shortgen, it has been going flat for about a year stuck at $30-50 mrr. I wanted to build more apps so i needed a tool to post slideshows on Tiktok and improves them so they get better constantly so thats basically what the Shortgen V2 does. Im on day 27/30 from the rebuild, so im close to the launch 🫡 Thanks for being in your timeline! Let me know what you build :)

question to experienced founders, what is the best piece of advice you would give to a fresh founder? > how to get users? > what to build? > how to build it? > anything else?

I don't think there's a big correlation between views and downloads. sure more people watched means more chance somebody will won't to download. but still like how motivated would people feel, how much value of the app does the video show, how much is the audience that watched it even your target audience.

@maubaron why do you need money though I didn't get it? isn't making organic content free? just takes your time and energy. but that's enough to get paid users to your app.

the single biggest mistake i ever made was making apps as a broke college student who never wanted to work you need money to make more money in apps and the most obvious opportunity in the world right now is being a UGC creator this is a great chance to work alongside one of the most cracked teams i've ever seen and make a lot of money in the process
Daniel Dhawan@daniel_dhawan

Rork is hiring barely legal 18yo killers for its ugc/creator program requirements – be a 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 gen z who understands TikTok hustle culture – be a fan of Roy Lee & Cluely – not be 14yo (we can't hire u even if we wanted to) repost & reply to apply

yeah same story. naval said that in general wealth comes from leverage. and there are really only 2 types of leverages. building software or online audience. and building software is so fucked right now with AI but building audience is something that just increases in value. because it's still hard meaning a lot of value.

If you play by the rules when marketing apps you're NGMI. if you actually want users, do what it takes: - post controversial sh*t - copy paste winning formats - use celebrities for views - rage bait there are no rules, this is creative mode.

launching and user feedback has nothing to do with each other though. most people launch fast in silence. launch fast advice needs a context of I have people to launch it for. not only that they are warmed up and interested to try. or at least you will pay ads but it's a different story.

Launch faster. Even if your product sucks, you NEED users to tell you why. Their answers will surprise you and likely not even be related to what you're spending time on. That feedback is more valuable than another week of building in the dark.

everyone knows it and everyone makes the same type of posts of how marketing is important. nobody does the actually helpful and valuable posts of how you can actually get paid users/ clients. what channels to use, how to find problems, how to structure content, how to set up funnels and millions of other things. but yeah sure MARKETING with capital letters.
