@WestieJack_WFC @TrivelaGroup @WalsallOfficial Tbh I'm not sure if a 6 month spell at a sizable League 1 club with big expectations is enough to write him off and never give him another job again. We're a staple League 2 club unfortunately and have to be realistic with who we're gonna get. I think it's a 50/50 appointment
English

If the rumours circulating about Lee Grant being the next head coach at #WalsallFC are true, then he sounds like the perfect @TrivelaGroup appointment and a typical @WalsallOfficial best candidate for the job.

It has been a great privilege to represent this club this season. I’m truly grateful to the staff and players for their support and for making me feel welcome, and to the fans for standing by us throughout the season.
Forever grateful, God bless you all. @WFCOfficial 🖤❤️

English

@James_BFP I bet most of the Walsall fanbase are keen for him to move as well. Absolutely gone missing for over 12 months
English

🏴 Aylesbury-born Jamie Jellis is supposedly 'keen' for a move close to Buckinghamshire this summer.
His contract with Walsall is due to expire in June.

Loved my time on loan here @WFCOfficial , great club filled with great people! It’s not the ending any of us wanted but thank you for your support throughout the season. Wishing everyone at the club all the best for the future! ❤️

That League Two is basically a lot of the staple League One teams of 2005-2015 who have been poorly run, or just shite and are now staple League Two sides 😆 with a few rogues thrown in.

An analysis on why Walsall have become a club of false dawns under Trivela.

@OneGFB If it makes you feel any better, you ain't the only ones! We are constantly shit once the Christmas decorations come down and we can't get anything over the line. Was the same in 15/16 when we finished in 3rd in League 1, one point behind 2nd. Oh well. Only football eh
English

Miss the chance to play Man City away in the FA Cup.
Beat Luton in the EFL trophy only for them to be reinstated due to an admin error; Luton then win the trophy.
In an automatic promotion race till Easter only to finish 9th. 3 wins in 13 games to miss out on play offs. #Stfc
English

@Vital_Walsall For a club that has played a huge amount of games in League 1 and in the old Div 2, 8 years is ridiculous to be honest. Vale have been promoted, relegated, promoted and relegated in that time 🫤. Why have we made it so difficult? Pomlett has been very naive and an abject failure.
English

From top of the league on Boxing Day to finishing 13th and in the bottom half of the table
8th season in League Two next season. Unacceptable.
The standards of this club are just no where near good enough. Big summer ahead.
Thoughts?

@WolfOutOfWater @NathanJudah Fair enough... I've only watched the odd performance and I'm commenting as an outsider really. Be interesting to see what happens in the summer
English

@andy90wfc @NathanJudah You don’t judge a Manager on what happened before he was in charge, you judge him on performances under his tenure. As you say, it’s unravelled. Players have regressed, no identity, no strategy, no consistent formation ir selection. It’s a complete no brainer. He must go now.
English

@tommymarlow Really can't see it, can you?! We're not willing to spend big so you have to get your recruitment or choice of coaches spot on and we don't seem to unfortunately. Maybe I'll be surprised but my interest is waning 🫤. It's going to be an incredibly tough division as well.
English

Bromley are going up as champions from L2.
Credit to #Saddlers fans who stayed put and applauded the Bromley supporters at the final whistle.
These are the scenes we desperately need to see at Bescot next spring in Walsall’s 8th season at L2 level… huge summer ahead.
English

@cattanach1974 @SportsPeteO Genuinely asking here btw as I haven't watched many Huddersfield games
English

@cattanach1974 @SportsPeteO Did Manning immediately start playing them, if so why haven't results been significantly better?
English

@d5_rss @SportsPeteO Bit harsh, maybe? I obviously don't know the ins and outs but as an outsider looking in it looked like he underperformed considering the preseason expectations, but it hasn't gotten much better since he left and you're now in 9th. Can he learn from the experience and improve.
English

@YGASaddler I'd put him in the same bracket as Conor Hourihane in that they're both young, potentially exciting, but are yet to pull up any trees. Dropping down to LG2 at a club with lesser expectations could be what both of them need now really. Unless it's dreadful, they'd get time here.
English

@Vital_Walsall No chance of it being Ferguson 😂. In terms of realistic options, considering it's going to be head coach that's willing to work with Mairs and Jordan, I think someone like Luke Garrard would be my pick. Or even the guy from South Shields as he seems to play football on the deck.
