@AtoZ_Payton They can’t win. People complain that they hold onto players for sentimental reasons. All the good teams struggle with PR because releasing players causes angst and bad blood.

@andyallen85 @AtoZ_Payton So. The idea is to draft great players not the highest valued positions with mediocre players. First round tackles without top 10 pedigree have a very low success rate.

Two things I have to say about the draft because it’s the comments I see the most 1. Why is it that everyone thinks every single player in the draft is going to be gone before 17? Like I’m seeing it with 2nd round guys 2. Stop moving every tackle you don’t like to guard.

@RickShielsPGA I swallowed my pride and realized I shouldn’t be playing a pro v1 based on my swing speed. I save 20 dollars a dozen.

@AtoZ_Payton I just don't particularly like the value of Freeling, Proctor or Lomu at 17. The defensive players there are potentially very good. Shemar Stewart was a bust last year, but this is a spot that has had guys like Jared Verse and Christian Gonzalez.

@AtoZ_Payton 1 thing I have to say is everyone assumes the Lions are going to take a tackle just because it’s a position of need. When has Holmes prioritized need over talent?

I love Detroit. But I’m always struck when I visit Chicago how the freeways are mostly free of debris and the roads mostly free of potholes. Is the climate that different in Michigan? Power washers were on I-55 cleaning graffiti off the bridges as I headed out of Chicago today.
