@TheHat2 @BurnerBubbles Is someone being forced to be gay/watch the game? Goes both ways. I just don’t like the fact that they only write Bible verses on pride night. Like why? It’s performative, unnecessary and just adds to the hate and divisiveness that is ruining our country.

The rules in question are:
3.03(a): "All players on a team shall wear uniforms identical in color, trim and style..."
3.03(c): "No player whose uniform does not conform to that of his teammates shall be permitted to participate in a game."
3.03(d): "A league may provide that each team shall wear a distinctive uniform at all times..."
So by writing on the Pride hats, their uniforms are no longer considered "identical," or the "distinctive" one mandated by the league (i.e., specifically for Pride Night). It's a rather strict reading of the rules.

@TheHat2 @BurnerBubbles And we have to understand that we’ll see others beliefs because they’re proud of them. Once we stop feeling like it’s an attack the word will be a better place. Pride night isn’t an attack on Christianity. It’s an event for queer people to enjoy a baseball game 🤷♂️

@TheHat2 @BurnerBubbles It’s a hat they wear one night to let queer people feel supported and welcome, not changing branding. I was just pointing out hypocritical nature of ideals being forced on people. People can believe different things, that’s something we can all agree on.

- Starting pitcher Landen Roupp wrote Genesis 9:12-16 on his Pride hat
- Relief pitcher Sam Hentges refused to wear the hat at all (just like Blake Treinen)
