@bryceharperhill Yeah, the idea that teams would be less protective of their pitchers in JULY is just kind of insane.

@andybehrens I agree. The mid season argument won’t work. It doesn’t lift restrictions imo it would tighten them. Teams in playoff chases would NOT want their pitchers missing games due to possible injury down the stretch. Also you’d have to pause leagues WORLDWIDE not just MLB.

One scorching take I have is that baseball got the WBC exactly right and nothing should change. It's pretty much perfect. That was awesome.

@TC_Hughes That US team was wrecked when they got those silvers. They clearly care about this, enough for Judge, Harper, Skenes, et al to play. Just lost to another good team. It was awesome. I think everyone would actually hate a midseason stoppage.

@andybehrens Make it in the middle of the season and take a 2-week break. With pitch counts and restrictions, Americans are just not going to take it as seriously. It's just not how we're wired, players and fans alike. In other countries it's like the SEC, just means more lol.
