I agree with this. #VAR destroyed the #FACupsemifinal. There was no “clear and obvious error” by the officials on the pitch and the 4-3 goal by heroic @Coventry_City should have stood. Instead of being remembered as one of the greatest FA Cup matches in history, it's yet another VAR washout. The offside rule was brought in to stop goalhanging, not to disallow a run by a striker whose big toe is further forward than the last defender. Absolutely gutting for everyone watching.

Just watched the @BBCMOTD repeat, discussing the Arsenal game and yet again the blame and chastising of match officials is clear for all to see. Ramsdales error, that directly results in a goal is followed by the comment “ I feel for him there” The ref not giving a 2nd yellow for a dive is chastised and framed as “ VAR must have gone to the toilet there” These incidents of clear bias by BBC employees against match officials needs to be looked at by @Ofcom and the @BBCSport This clear bias against match officials causes online and physical abuse of referees at all levels of the game and it’s getting worse every week.

At the England v Fiji game and bumped in some random Aussie. Turns out he also played a bit of rugby.

@skybluecol @marksmithccfc @EFL Stroud gets some stuff wrong but has some confidence in his decisions at least. That guy last night totally lost his nerve, and desperately tried to not blow his whistle. And when panzo got kicked in the head and he tried to give them a free kick?! 🤯

The referee last night was up there as one of the worse I have ever seen… Absolutely shocking, but the @EFL do nothing, absolutely nothing..

@marksmithccfc @skybluecol @EFL I only watched on TV and he missed the biggest decision (which the Blackburn commentators called immediately!), also lost control of the game and Blackburn deployed their ‘dark arts’ unchecked. It’s like they don’t have confidence to make a decision.
