@RugbyTimes @Mcossalifrancis P&R isn't the issue. The issue is rugby isn't massively commercially viable without wholesale change. The 10 club league isn't profitable, and won't be. I don't see this changing in the new system either.

@Mcossalifrancis My issue is that a lot of the existing clubs have failed to build their crowds to the levels needed and lose a shedload of money despite a continuous presence in the Prem. Not all of that can be down to P&R, surely? So why reward mediocrity/failure by giving them free rein?

My view on the Prem relegation being scrapped is that IF it is going to help the league EXPAND then I’m all for that. But relegation/promotion is what sport is about. We need jeapordy. Look at the 🇫🇷 set-up. Sceptical & it feels like a closing off of the elite.
