@transportgovuk @activetraveleng @Chris_Boardman In other news, a single roundabout is approved at a higher cost than the entire active travel budget independent.co.uk/news/uk/m25-tr…

@BladeoftheS Can't deny there's fewer obstacles in space!
English

@adrianwills @adamtranter Fewer parked cars if driverless ones are shared use
English

@adamtranter “Driverless vehicles may still help us solve some real transport problems” - what problems? What major issue does driverless cars solve unless it can 100% guarantee the safety of other road users? I genuinely don’t see the point of them.

We can allow history to repeat itself, and powerful interests to shape our streets in one way.
Or we can remember that cities are places where walking, cycling and public transport should be prioritised.

Did you know that the countries with the most heat pumps installed are also in some of the coldest climates?

@g__j @OctopusEnergy Any reason why my monthly payment has just increased 3 fold?
My most expensive monthly energy usage was 'only' £540 over the last 12 months.
My account is currently in credit.
Are your projections for future elec costs that terrifying?

France has released its national #climate adaptation plan, and it plans for 4C of warming by the end of the century. 😳 rfi.fr/en/environment…

@RealTimVine I assume the rationale is to realise some psychological benefit which may have a bigger effect than the reduced draft
English

Ran up the numbers on a DIY home energy storage system using a model 3 battery pack.
It is great value, basically £40/ kWh instead of £740 / kWh from something like a powerwall
Getting a heatpump at the same time would result in almost £2,000 a year savings. Payback period about 5 years for both

Is this really happening?
Shocking but It shouldn't be too surprising after 2023, 2024 & Jan 2025 #arctic

English

@MarcNixon24 It's astounding the massive number of IDIOTS who suck up the 'climate crisis' grift like it's gravy.
Our atmosphere contains a mere 0.04% CO2, it is the gas of life. If CO2 drops below 0.02% photosynthesis stops, killing all life on earth. Life on earth is carbon based!

BREAKING: America’s new Secretary of Energy just exposed the entire climate scam
“Media & politicians NEVER bothered to actually learn about climate change.”

CO2 makes up less than 0.04% of the overall atmosphere and the UK contributes less than 0.1% of that annually. We could go carbon neutral tomorrow and remove all cars from the road. It makes absolutely no difference to overall climate changes. Why are we constantly reminded of the dangers when we can have no effect at all? 🤦♂️

'Dangerous climate breakdown' warning as hottest January on record shocks scientists
news.sky.com/story/dangerou…
English

@MarioNawfal We have no significant influence on the climate if you consider that Carbon dioxide (CO₂) constitutes about 0.04% of Earth's atmosphere.
English

🚨EARTH JUST HAD ITS HOTTEST JANUARY EVER
EU scientists confirmed January 2025 was the warmest on record, making it 18 out of the last 19 months above the critical 1.5°C threshold.
Even with a cooling La Niña, global temperatures keep soaring.
January's average was 1.75°C above pre-industrial levels, with sea temperatures also near record highs.

English

@ForgetfuP @endlibtyranny @RyanAFournier "Less Clean".... Oh! You must mean that 0.04% of the atmosphere that scientists properly label as "The Carbon Cycle", that grifters have latched on to as a money supply. Yeah. We're tearing that playhouse down.
English

@JamesMelville Reducing carbon dioxide is a bad thing it’s a life sustaining molecule, plants need it and to reduce it is to reduce something that already extremely scarce in our atmosphere air is 0.04% carbon dioxide and 0.01% of that is man made
English

@JamesMelville Used solar panels in buried in the ground
Used turbine blades buried in the ground
Captured carbon buried in the ground
This is going to mess up the planet for future generations not the 0.04 of carbon in the air that is need.
English

@Daedalus6 @kinlochleven7 @Ed_Miliband 0.03% - 0.04% carbon dioxide (it varies) bbc.co.uk/bitesize/guide…

Most people would agree that if you pay your rent, you deserve to live in a warm, safe home.
This Labour government is fighting for working people.
That's why today we're announcing new energy efficiency standards to protect renters.

English

@kinlochleven7 @Daedalus6 @Ed_Miliband Did you know there's about 400 parts per million (ppm) of caffeine in coffee? There's over 400 ppm of CO₂ in our atmosphere today. If you've felt the surge of caffeine hitting your system, you've experienced the effects of just 400 ppm.
English

@Daedalus6 @Ed_Miliband Thanks for clarifying and I have no words
Net Zero needs to come back to Parliament
