Sorry to hear. Sounds like she needed heavy counseling. My wife and I have been happily married for 25 years. We took premarital classes prior to tying the knot. Long ago we created lists that imparted every thing we wanted from a marriage. We wrote every detail of how we wished we were to be treated, what we valued most, and what we expected. When we finished we exchanged the lists and kept them as roadmaps. It was one of the greatest thing we ever did. We’ve laughed a lot for 25 years, travelled the world, have two amazing kids and give all credit to the Bible. That was the book we used the most during any arguments or big decisions. It settled all disputes. I lead the home in an environment filled with the Word, not because I liked to, it is hard, but because I knew it would be best for my family. I wish more men would lead their homes biblically. It’s tough but it works.
