@mattgurney Well, since this is Canada and this piece of infrastructure is ridiculous and will never be completed, I’d bet my money on the infrastructure being completed first.

Will be genuinely fascinating to see which unlikely event comes to pass first: Canada successfully completes infrastructure megaproject or Conservatives find way to win again. thestar.com/politics/feder…

@globeandmail Elections have consequences, and if the proposed solutions to this 10 year running calamity is: 1. More taxes. Make people pay their “fair share” 2. More regulation Then we will have another lost decade - and will rapidly approach Northern Mexico status.

@HedyFry Hold up. You are suggesting productivity will decline if we don’t renew the visas of barely literate temporary workers from Punjab villages, whose education credentials are fake Brampton diploma mills? …. Can some staffer pls teach this MP math? Like, how averages work.

The Stats are out. The Can population has decreased for the first time since Confederation. Soon labour market woes, productivity and economic growth will follow. Immigrants have increased our competitive edge in the global marketplace. How often a simplistic response to a complex problem brings unintended consequences!

@manofbird Btw, tar and feather this guy later. Like maybe in 3 months. Now doesn’t seem the right time. But I guess this French thing needs to take number 1 ultimate priority over all. 🙄

@manofbird Haha Quebecers are soooooooooo soft. I would think at this time everyone would want said CEO to be focusing on safety. But he’s spending all his time reviewing materials his staff is furiously putting together on bilingualism, for the show Parliament appearance. Wonderful.

Here’s the deal, hosers. The pushback on the unilingual English statement from Air Canada might seem petty to you, but it cuts deep in Quebec. It’s lazy, tone deaf and disrespectful to Antoine Forest’s family and friends, and it was avoidable. THAT is what diminishes the tragedy.

@EScrimshaw That’s not what he said. He claimed the Liberals would prefer a situation where people die, *AS LONG AS ONE SHIRKS ON BUREAUCRATIC NONSENSE*. You are missing the second clause, which makes this statement entirely accurate and true.

@CyberGreen09 I mean, you are pretty much allowed to dump chemical effluent in Texas waterways. A single cup of MILK isn’t going to hurt anyone. If it helps, imagine the person doing it is white? 🤷‍♂️

🚨Mass fraud in Canada's student visa program. Auditor General of Canada found that over 150,000 students were potentially non-compliant in just 2 years and Canada investigated only 4k thousand of them. They found many cases of the straight up fraudulent documents just to enter Canada and later applied for other visas, including surge of asylum claims by students. The Liberal government was rubber stamping everyone into the country with open arms....Holly f! Now they are giving them citizenships.

Western grad. Finance degree. Graduated 6 months ago. Can’t land an entry-level job. You’re told to study, work hard, build experience and it’ll pay off. But in 2026, that formula isn’t working like it used to. More and more grads are doing everything right and still coming up empty and they’re starting to ask the uncomfortable question: "Was it ever worth it?"

@ddebow Surely the response, now that our economy isn’t growing fast enough to support the social infrastructure Canadians expect, is to demand productive people pay more. “Their fair share” This won’t end well
