Big news! The government picked 45 smart students from many schools in Nigeria. Each of them got ₦50 million to support their business ideas. This money will help them start or grow their own businesses and create jobs for others.

PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT JOINS FORCES WITH NIGERIAN POLICE TO CRUSH EMERGING THREATS OF URBAN TERRORISM Plateau State Governor, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has called for a decisive shift from routine peacekeeping to robust, intelligence-driven security operations following the deadly attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area, which claimed several lives, including women, and left many others injured. The Governor made this call on Monday, March 30, 2026, while receiving the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations, Umar Shehu Nadada, who paid a courtesy visit to Government House on the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Tilwan Disu. Expressing deep sorrow over the killings, Governor Mutfwang described the attack as “cowardly and utterly senseless,” lamenting that innocent citizens were targeted while going about their lawful activities. He disclosed that victims are currently receiving treatment at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, with many in stable condition. “It is deeply heartbreaking that a city we have long regarded as one of the most peaceful in the region has witnessed such horror,” the Governor stated. “We are now confronted with an emerging phase of urban terrorism, and this demands a fundamental rethink of our security architecture—shifting from reactive responses to proactive, intelligence-led operations.” Governor Mutfwang further revealed that security agencies had already recorded progress, including the arrest of a suspect allegedly involved in spreading inciting information capable of triggering unrest. He charged law enforcement agencies to intensify intelligence gathering and ensure that all those connected to the attack—both perpetrators and sponsors—are identified, apprehended, and prosecuted. While commending the youth and residents of the affected community for their restraint, the Governor emphasized the urgent need for strengthened collaboration between government, security agencies, and local communities. He stressed that criminal elements must be decisively confronted and treated as enemies of the state. “The time for hesitation is over. We must deploy every available resource to defend our people, protect lives and property, and safeguard the territorial integrity of our state,” he declared, assuring continued government support in terms of logistics, coordination, and operational backing for security agencies. Earlier, DIG Nadada stated that his visit was part of a fact-finding and operational assessment mission directed by the Inspector-General of Police. He disclosed that additional security personnel, including units of the Police Mobile Force and intelligence operatives, had already been deployed to the affected areas to restore order and track down those responsible. “We are here to assess the situation firsthand and implement effective strategies to neutralize these criminal elements,” Nadada said, adding that security agencies are working in close synergy to ensure the swift restoration of peace. The Deputy Inspector-General also revealed plans to visit the scene of the attack, engage community leaders, and consult key stakeholders as part of broader efforts to prevent any recurrence of such violence in Plateau State. Happy 14th Birthday to my beloved son, Jason 🎉❤️ At your age, I stepped into the world alone… but you came into my life and gave birth to a higher version of me. Fatherhood changed me forever. You made me stronger, wiser, and more focused. This is the age I’ve been waiting for—the age I begin to see the man you’re becoming. And I’m proud of you. I pray over your life: May God guide your steps, protect you, and fill you with wisdom. May no weapon formed against you prosper. May favor, strength, and purpose follow you all your days. You are blessed. You are protected. You are chosen.

I hope @KevinblakC will tender an unreserved apology to Yoruba women for the very nasty and false stereotype of spreading infection which he plastered on them. There is no excuse for such even in a skit. Apologise unreservedly.

Dear @BBCNews your BBC igbo interviewed this tribal bigot @KevinblakC, who classified all Yoruba women as having infection. This is a big insult on the Yoruba community that has produced success and hardworking women. You should be more careful and circumspect on who you bring to your reputable platform. Giving using a bigot a huge platform as yours further deepens such an bigoted stereotype
