@SandyAhlawat89 2200 + Emergency and Short Service Commissioned Officers of Indian Army,Navy and Air Force are in Delhi High Court for Prorata pension as per One Rank One Pension table already in place for permanent commissioned officers and 100% coverage & Cashless healthcare for family .
Short Service Commissioned Officers of the Indian Army served where it mattered most➡️on the Line of Control➡️in counter-insurgency➡️in unforgiving high altitudes.
They led men, took risks and gave their youth to the nation.
And then….they returned to civilian life with no pension, limited support and little recognition. The same men who once earned their bread on the LoC now earn it on city streets….quietly with dignity.
They had families to feed and responsibilities to shoulder. There was no luxury of time or energy to fight long legal battles. No bandwidth to go to courts and no strength left to chase rights…..they chose to stand up again and rebuild their lives from scratch.
They never fought the system. They never protested. They simply did their job….they are a minuscule minority actually too small to be a vote bank….too few for anyone to take up their cause. No courts….no advocate, no political voice….and they remain unheard….perhaps the most unsung heroes, who served fully and then silently disappeared into the crowd.
A nation that truly respects its soldiers must ask….Who speaks for those who never spoke for themselves?
Respect cannot remain symbolic..,it must translate into support, structure and fairness.
Unfortunately their service ended….their struggle didn’t
🔥 14 yrs service for both, but pension for only women.
Justice shouldn’t be gendered.
Male SSCOs fight on LOC with the enemy, they should not be fighting for justice from the system.

#WATCH | Delhi | On Supreme Court grants full pension to women SSC Officers denied permanent commission, Advocate SS Pandey says, “Today, Supreme Court has passed a historical order, the bench was presided by the CJI, in respect of women officers of all the three services – Army, Navy and Air Force. The SC has recognised the fact that since women officers were not being considered for PC, the inputs to derive the merits of the women officers have not been done properly because the reporting officers were not conscious of the fact that these Annual Confidential Reports and other credentials would be used for consideration of PC for the women officers… In the Army, the SC has already found that the women officers have been subjected to systemic discrimination through the cases of Babita Punia and Nitisha… The SC clearly held that all those officers who have completed 60% of qualifying service and were clear from the PC and vigilance angle will be considered and granted PC. The officers who have been victims of systemic discrimination will be permitted to serve for 20 years and will be given a pension on completion of 20 years… In the Air Force’s case, the consideration denied earlier was based on a 2019 policy in which the inputs that were taken into consideration were those that women officers could not have earned during their service. As a result, they were denied PC. Both the male and female officers have been granted consideration for PC or pension… The same goes with the Navy because it was also following a policy of no PC to either men or women… They have also been considered for PC… “
VIDEO | Delhi: On Supreme Court delivering a verdict for women Short Service Commission officers in the armed forces, Advocate Astha Sharma says, "The three‑judge bench of the Supreme Court delivered a historic verdict, noting a systemic flaw in the armed forces’ policies. The Court ordered a comprehensive overhaul of how those policies are framed and pointed out that the Annual Confidential Reports of women Short Service Commission officers were not assessed properly."
