While LPG shortage has put restaurants/hotels kitchens to sleep and soon poor may be forced to revert to coal, kerosine and choke in smoke filled kitchens the @PetroleumMin wakes up from deep slumber. Asks 33 crore domestic LPG consumers to complete Biometric Aadhar Authentication (10.5 crore PMUY already do it). The attempt may be to weed out fake/multiple connections. But why Trump has to start a war against Iran to make the ministry kick start the process? The administrative and political compass it seems has gone crazy. Ahead of assembly polls there is shortage. LPG Prices have been hiked. And now a compliance clause has been added. It will increase the focus on LPG. With no end to the war in sight LPG can become a poll issue. Then what hurts more is that every law in this land is created to check the dishonest but hurts & harasses the honest. Note ban was against black money. Every dishonest penny came back. It became a money laundering exercise. Ditto income loan/tax rules, vehicle/transport rules.

Delhi–Howrah line runs through UP but RURAL AREAS get almost nothing. People travel to a city (50 km) for a train while stations 10–20 km away lie underused (just 1 train for 5+ lakh people) Kasganj–Kanpur–Lalganj–Prayagraj line must be upgraded to ease load & connect rural UP.
