The government has drastically reduced how much it borrows from the central bank to fund spending, slashing “Ways and Means” financing by nearly 90% from ₦26.95 trillion in 2023 to ₦2.84 trillion in early 2026. This will help reduce pressure on inflation and stabilise the economy, allowing the CBN to focus more on controlling prices and strengthening the naira instead of constantly financing government deficits.

Iran came out with school bags ahead of their friendly match vs Nigeria, in order to honour the children who lost their lives from US-Israeli strikes. 🇮🇷🇳🇬 A lovely tribute. 🙏🏼

🗣️Dear Nigerians, In case you haven’t seen this yet…👇🏽 Nigeria hasn’t conducted a credible population census since 2006. That means for almost 20 years, decisions about school, hospitals, and resource allocation have been based on estimates. Now, the interesting part is, between 2022 and 2023, N129.5 billion was disbursed for the 2023 population census. And that money went into: 📌 N118.38 billion for Personal Digital Assistants 📌 N2.47 billion for Hilux vehicles 📌 N499.8 million for power banks 📌 N106.19 million for an e-recruitment portal @TrackaNG wrote to the National Population Commission requesting full details under the Freedom of Information Act. The law requires a response within 7 days. It’s been over 3 weeks, no response. So we’re asking: WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MONEY? Public funds demand public accountability!! #GetInvolved #AskQuestions

Nah, this isn’t aid to Africa at all. The UK is backing a loan to Nigeria on the condition that the contracts go to British companies. That means the money goes to UK contractors, who would likely use British staff and services. Those companies (and their employees) pay taxes in the UK. Nigeria then repays the loan with interest at commercial rates, likely funded by Nigerian taxpayers. So this is really about supporting UK businesses, not giving aid. If anyone is going to insist that this is aid giving, then it is Nigeria giving aids to the UK.

🚨BREAKING! The 🇬🇧UK plans to lend £746 Million to 🇳🇬Nigeria to help them refurbish their Ports. The consistent aid given to African is getting out of hand! Africa has received more “aid” in the last century than Britain did after the Blitz. The UK received $3.7billion in aid from the US and this was after a BRUTAL WORLD WAR and they used that money wisely to rebuild the UK into the state we see today. Not only that, most of the African politicians are living better than European politicians in 20 bedroom mansions whilst the general Africa public live in poverty …. Where is this aid going ???
