@ibd_india I have talked with the company about this issue. They told me that upadacitinib is resorbed within two hours After taking the pill so it should be fine in most cases.

Patients with ileostomy are finding undigested/partially digested Upadacitinib pills in their output. Any remedies? #IBD docs in our network, please advise.

@drkeithsiau Despite of the individuality of treatment response (e. g. previous treatment failures) I honestly doubt some of the numbers. For example, when you compare the weeks between IFX, 5-ASA und Aza, it seems far from real life experience. How did they come up with These numbers?

@anjefus I did not mean to be so dogmatic! I prefer WHO standards because they are easy to remember, and because I want to avoid over-diagnosis. but of course clinical context is all important.

A Hb of 13.1 g/dL in a male is normal by WHO criteria (anemia <13.0) but is flagged as low by our local lab. Why? WHO sets global cutoffs for anemia. Labs set local reference ranges based on healthy populations, which are often higher. Use WHO criteria to diagnose anemia.
