@Tushar15 These protests are to hold govt accountable. Current govt won't listen to your pleading because they know they win. But protests like the current one are awakening the social conscious of society which will hold govt accountable in next elections.

Hold the Government accountable in every possible manner, but illegally occupying protest sites, highways and expressways, carrying out tractor marches, or threatening the state with a hunger strike is absurd. We are not a serious nation.

Congratulations to the team at @SkyrootA and the entire scientific community on the successful launch of Vikram-1 marking India's first successful private orbital rocket mission. India's space journey is entering a new era with the growing participation of our private sector. This success will inspire more young minds to pursue science, dream bigger and carry India's space ambitions to even greater heights.

This is what happens when you value bureaucracy more than scientists. A Sarkari naukri is a bonded labour - you are a cheap labour and not allowed to resign or change jobs. ISRO Talent Drain Triggers Government Action - Rediff.com share.google/PmlNt1T6A0vyYG…

👋 Hello @nitin_gadkari ji, Commuters are thanking you for the world-class Delhi–Mumbai Expressway. They also have one humble request: please increase the toll further. It seems too low. After all,as u said,if people want good roads, they have to pay. Lets all thank him.🙏

I worked in Punjab as a journalist during the peak of militancy. Later in my career, I headed the Punjab Cell in the CBI, which had, in its past, investigated cases of fake encounters as well as the assassination of Sardar Beant Singh. Those experiences gave me a rare opportunity to see both sides of that tragic period. They taught me that any honest account of those years must acknowledge both sides of the story. And that is exactly my concern with Satluj: not what it shows, but what it leaves out. It tells only half the truth; the other half is left unsaid, deliberately, and with a purpose. The film decontextualizes Jaswant Singh Khalra and the human rights debate from the Pakistan-backed, brutal Khalistani insurgency. This omission is neither an innocent creative choice nor an inadvertent one. And, in my view, the intent behind such a selective portrayal should matter to every Indian.
Leher Sethi@LeherSethi

@arunbothra But the movie focuses on the “fake” Encounters and the illegal means used to achieve an end.. also, the CBI documents, Supreme Court judgments are all out in the open for anyone to see the truth. Then why hide it?

It was a privilege to address the seminar, “Indus Waters Treaty: An Instrument of Regional Peace and Stability,” where leading experts from Pakistan and abroad discussed one of the defining challenges of our time in South Asia. I underscored that the Indus Waters Treaty is not merely a water-sharing arrangement but a vital instrument of regional peace, stability, and cooperation. Shared waters must never be weaponized. They must remain a bridge between nations, guided by cooperation, dialogue, and respect for international law. Any attempt to deprive Pakistan of its rights under the Treaty would have profound consequences for regional peace and security, undermining the shared interests of nearly two billion people of South Asia.

Someone recently asked me what you think about India-China conflict in 2035 ! My immediate answer was : We will suffer huge number of casualties. Reason : This image can be one good example, look how proudly CISF is flaunting its 7 lakh+ rupee of Chinese Autel Robotics EVO Max 4T. And the Chinese drone detect PL2 Pro of around 3 Lakh to 4.5 lakh rupees. Look at the picture, how proud they are like they are doing some really cool stuff. CISF will be doing surveillance for Chinese, by the Chinese equipments for getting hit by Chinese drones.

@DealsDhamaka Yes. Back then they were barbers and now they are salons with working hours that match that of their clients.

One thing I’ve noticed changing from my childhood is the timing of salons. Back then, most salons would open as early as 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning. People would go read newspapers, get haircut or shave before work Today, most salons don’t even open until around 9:00 a.m. Is it the same in your area as well ?

@maveinlux Over simplification of facts. The West does things on their own because labour is expensive. History is witness that when the Goras had cheap labour (read slaves) the latter was forced to wipe the asses of the former.

Indians will have a tough time in a Decade if they don’t learn to do things on their own. In India, everyone has someone who does their dirty work for them. In Europe, DIY stores like HORNBACH, Bauhaus are extremely successful. People in the west, literally do almost everything on their own, including building a house in some cases. This is because labour is extremely expensive. My technical room cum garage has every possible tool. Infact, I even rented an excavator to fix my garden on my own. Besides, there is emphasis on dignified labour. In India, if one could, they will hire someone to wipe their ass. As the nation becomes developed and as the per capita income goes up, it will be hard to sustain these businesses models.

We have a wedding in the family next week. In last three days I have seen a barber, stylist, spa, tailor, and dance choreographer all come home. No other place in the world offers this luxury at such a reasonable cost. This convenience covers every part of life. I last stepped into a bank maybe ten years ago - even to sign loan papers. When I buy a car, the dealer brings it to my driveway for a test drive and delivers the vehicle to my gate. For regular maintenance, a driver picks the car up and brings it back. Doctors, drivers, fitness trainers, and physiotherapists all visit the house. Chefs, party planners, and house help. Name it and there is a provider. Even the election commission recently delivered and collected SIR forms at our doorstep. Food and daily goods arrive with a phone click at little to no extra charge. In most countries, people spend their weekends running errands. The doorstep economy protects our most valuable asset: time. By outsourcing the logistics of daily life, we reclaim hours that would otherwise disappear into traffic and long lines. We gain the freedom to invest that energy back into our homes and relationships. That’s beauty of living in India.

Europe is experiencing a severe heat wave. Brutal Question: If 43°C in Europe is being called a national emergency... Why do millions in India continue to work in 45–48°C every summer with far less global attention? Is the difference just temperature... Or infrastructure, humidity, building design, air conditioning, and preparedness? What's your view? #EuropeHeatwave #ClimateChange
