Every time I see the Yedoma Ice Complex, it is amazing😊This year I was lucky to see the Mamontovy Khayata exposure at Bykovsky Peninsula, Laptev Sea, from the sea bottom. You can see a bottom nishe due to wave work and how microtopography follows by permafrost and its thawing

An early Christmas present: I submitted my PhD thesis. "Organic matter stored in ice-rich permafrost: future permafrost thaw and greenhouse gas release." As the university does not allow a creative title page, I added some color, art and a haiku to every chapter title page 😁🎄
