There is always an alternative. Remember that when you hear any claims that cuts are needed because the economic circumstances have changed. A Wealth Tax of just 2% on assets over £10 million would raise £24 BILLION per year. That's the "tough choice" that should be made.

Only 10% went to uni, thats why it was free, most started work @ 15/16. Today's problems are not boomers fault its the financial crash & successive govs.

Baby Boomers are the richest generation to have ever lived, they had stable jobs for 40 years, 30% are worth £1m & they have taken from the state 130% of what they paid in. And as thanks they ring up the radio fuming that millennials want to have the homes they were handed. The Ungrateful Generation.
