If you can find someone with the right attitude, aptitude & that you trust, you can teach them the nuance of the industry. The right kind of person is a lot harder to find.

@Fischbooks @schultetonya @roundtablelabs @addictedtoqb @annamarieready There are actually more integrators in the world than visionaries so they are out there. However we tend to flock to people like us so if you are a visionary you are going to know more visionary’s.

I talk to A Lot of accounting firm owners. The ones I connect with most naturally are those who love tech and love building workflows and talking innovation. Not one of them Love running their firm or managing their team. So who’s out there with a passion for Operations? Anyone?

When you wait on hold for an hour to reach the IRS, actually get someone on the line, explain the problem and then immediately get disconnected.

@wifemomcpa100 We offer fixed rate compensation on monthly recurring work, with an hourly rate for admin & training time. I will say it definitely makes payroll more complicated, but it really helps us to be on the same side of the table as our team.

I’m rethinking the production model more and more. No more $/hr! Start with a fair base and then provide a model where employees can earn higher salaries based on production level, quality, and efficiency. Is anyone successfully doing this on #TaxTwitter? If so, please share.

My big goal for this year is to actually balance work + life. The first step on the journey was to stop believing my calendar was happening to me and start being more strategic with my time. In service of that, I'm blocking out one no-meeting day per week. It's pretty magical. 🪄

It is SO fun to have an onboarding call with a new client who is 1. super open to input, 2. wants to have good process, 3. will use our tools @QuickBooks+@dextofficial+@MelioPayments+@GustoHQ and 4. sees the value in what we do best so they can focus on what they do best. 🥳❤️
