Life Update: I'm back in San Francisco, and I've started a new job leading Product & Partnerships at @usekernel. After two years in London and six months living nomadically, I found the team I wanted to jump back in for.

@annaxwang @usekernel cool! this is very useful. extending cloud browsers this way sounds very promising. I wonder how far a plugin+ecosystem could go - extending in a way not traditionally easy or possible with local browsers.

I try to invest in founders & companies that aspire to build *decisively* the best product, technology in their space (as opposed to as much emphasis on sales or marketing). One of my favorite moments that always happens when those types of companies starts winning... Part 1: Founder: "We lost a deal to competitor X, we're bummed" Me: "I'm not worried about it at all" Founder: "????" Me: "I think people trying/using X is probably some of our best sales/marketing. Our stuff is better, keep doing the right things, and customers will come around and will appreciate us even more than they would otherwise" Part 2 (4 months later): Founder: "I have exciting news :) [customer] is back on the table for another trial. And the reason is because [competitor] is janky." My favorite part about these isn't that I turned out to be right, or even that the company is tactically doing well... it's that the founder jumps to a new level of self-confidence about themselves, their company strategy and tactics, and the value of longer-term thinking

8 months ago, we shipped the first Pocket. Today, 100,000 people use it to be present in their most important conversations. Grateful to have @Accel, @peakxvpartners, @ycombinator, @rauchg, @mati, and @nejatian behind us for what comes next.
