I can’t believe I’ve been on Twitter for 15 years now. It used to be great craic and an eye opening education at times. Sadly, since the thin-skinned billionaire took over, it’s gone to absolute shite. Facebook algorithm vids & clickbait nonsense. Anyone else feel the same?

I understand the No to the Carers question, I can’t get my head around a No to the Family one We are all different families now, we don’t live in Dev’s Ireland thankfully Why retain the clause to keep women at home and the house tidy? Why educate girls then? #referendum2024

@deirdrenugent4 I had to visit my doctor today because I have a horrible cold anf chest infection.I got some dodgy looks for wearing a mask but I didn't want to give it to everyone else. It's also the policy of the clinic if someone has a cold or flu.

I'm at the hospital for an appointment. My son and I are the only people in the packed waiting room wearing masks. Do people not bother in medical settings anymore? 🤔

I’m at A&E and the triage nurse is Irish. My partner asks if I recognise him as we’re probably related…💀 I curtly explain that not every irish person knows each-other 🙃 Anyway, turns out I’m wrong and the nurse is, of course, well acquainted with my family in Tipperary 🤡

@Elizabe12218417 I agree. I've noticed that a lot of people where I live put up decorations at the start of December and take them down on the 27th. I keep to the 12 days.

My late Mam always went by the ancient adage of not taking down tree/decorations until 6th January and I followed her and never remove anything before 6th. Was she wrong and if so then so am I. I know it's a 1st world problem but I'd like to know other people's views.❤️

@Niall_Boylan The only reason McGregor is ahead is because three of them are dodgy and McGregor is an unknown quantity.

@Niall_Boylan I think a bill against hate speech, that is against people inciting others against certain groups of people is a good idea. I don't want to live in the USA with its tolerance of lies and attack on good people.

Ireland's Hate Speech bill has traveled the word and is getting global attention, and rightfully so. Its Orwellian and authoritarian nature demands serious consideration. It is imperative that Leo Varadkar, in a display of leadership, acknowledges publicly the grave mistake made in restricting speech within a free Western country. Ireland, a nation that takes pride in its commitment to freedom of expression, should not succumb to a law that imposes a chilling effect on speech. The very notion of such legislation in a country that values democracy is deeply troubling and detrimental to our nation's image. It is time for a reconsideration and a resolute stance in defense of the fundamental principles that define us as a free society.

I like most of the population was horrified by the actions of violent rioters in Dublin. They were not representative of any side of any debate. Please don’t let the Government twist this event and the tragedy of the day into a reason to bring in Orwellian laws to restrict free speech.

@KarSugrue I find it very interesting that it's men here who fail to recognise the blatant condescension he is treating her with and the women who feel infuriated. I could punch his face in except I don't agree with violence. Instead I say hats off to this woman.

A man is aggressively disrespectful & belittling until she responds in kind & then the problem becomes her response, not his appalling behaviour. Sound familiar? We see you misogyny & this won’t work anymore Thank you Senator Ruane - you spoke for us all #sexisminpolitics
