But let's be real: that's Rodri-level money for a player who's promising but not proven elite yet. British media hype + City's bottomless pockets create this inflation. They can drop £100m+ on a hyped talent, and if it doesn't fully click, they rotate or buy another (Tonali-style). Forest's owner is leveraging the interest hard for PSR reasons. United under INEOS can't play that game right now. We've seen what overpaying on hype does, expectations crush players and the books.
