Four student nurses bringing little packs of joy to our patients on discharge to help them find support available in the community.

Hi George! This isn’t acceptable, but let me give you a little context. Most boroughs now parade 10-15 Cops per shift. So that’s 7/8 vehicles of Response Cops available. As a Sergeant I have to task them to the emergencies with the most risk: Knife calls / Domestics / Suicides. We also have to sit on constant watches in custody, on hospital guards and crime scenes which wipe out our resources at the beginning of the shift. So realistically there are probably 4/5 deployable vehicles per shift at the moment. It’s a pretty impossible juggling act at the best of times. We genuinely really hate letting victims down and it’s not good enough, but we simply don’t ever have enough Cops. If you’d be willing it’d be good to get you out on a ride along with someone like @TomGaymor for you to see how demand truly outstrips resources. 🚨

Police officers should not have their pay awards diminished because they do not have the right to strike ❌

@Kmaddie25 Not a police officer so cannot give a definitive answer, but I would’ve thought that would be the best way? Just hold up both sides to show its blank, I would’ve thought that would be an appropriate method? Hope it goes well! :)

Mild rant; why is it so acceptable to ask people if theyre pregnant out of the blue? Someone who I haven’t seen in 6+months (I’ve admittedly put on weight since then) just looked me up and down stating “oh my gosh, are you pregnant?” Nope, just fat. So inappropriate
