You are drawing an inference and I dont see enoughe evidence that excludes my claim and bolsters yours. All you have a societal based claim. @Azriel_The_One @fiercepatricks I can also easily disprove this by reminding you that pre-colonization societies existed, and they had forms of marriage that were found to be both religiously based and society and economically based. The idea of marriage does not come from just one culture.

We can easily say that gay marriage is valid because the concept existed before Christianity did.

@Azriel_The_One @fiercepatricks Peoples also had marriage or marriage like unions pre-colonization, and while they’re marriages could be traced to religion, they also seemed to be for the benefits of unions and larger communities and families.

@Azriel_The_One @fiercepatricks This is historically inaccurate. Marriage predates organized religion and was used similarly to how it’s used in our modern day, religion’s just co-opted it.
