We have spent £180m on plans for a tunnel under Stonehenge. The project is now scrapped. You can be for a tunnel & think spending is a good idea (even if you think the cost of planning is silly). You can be against a tunnel & think spending is a bad idea. But *nobody* can be for spending on this scale with zero result. And yet that is a peculiarly British outcome. Nobody will be reprimanded. Nobody will see their career affected. But that’s £180m of taxpayer money just wazzed up the wall. Totally without repercussions. Multiply this by airport expansions & train route plans and Thames crossings and power stations and other examples you can think of yourself, and… soon you’re talking serious money.

@TalosDreams @HustleBitch_ Issue is, when I drive my wife’s car (non Tesla) I do the same, then later realise and have to return to the car to lock it. Tesla is just so good.

I just walk up to my Tesla and get in. At the end of my drive I get out and walk away. All that locking/unlocking, shifting, parking brake, seat adjustment, climate control, and music stuff just happens for me. Phone key is the way. I do carry a plastic keycard in my wallet in case I ever need it.

I’ve been very supportive of POTUS on Iran & believe getting rid of Maduro was good. But I’ve been appalled by this Admin's tone, rhetoric, tactics & strategy toward Europe. Denigrating our allies has been terrible. Weakness communicated to Putin has caused grave damage. Passive-aggressive communication toward President Zelenskyy is embarrassing. I hear from our allies about the damage this has done & it’s going to take time to repair.

The White House had "more information" before Vietnam; before Kosovo; before Iraq; before Afghanistan; before Libya. That's exactly why everyone thinks what is happening is unhinged and dumb. We cut Trump some slack previously exactly BECAUSE he claimed to be different. Now that he looks like the others, the DEFAULT assumption should be that these actions are informed by stupidity, corruption and incompetence, because anything else would be a real pattern breaker.
