Four years ago I woke up at 5 am from distant explosions. I asked my boyfriend if he heard them too, he said he didn’t and I should go back to sleep. I tried to calm myself down, went on the internet, it was silent, no news or explanations.

It's been a year of very firsts, including my first ever PhD field season! Through all its ups and downs this is definitely one for the books (or movies haha) and I couldn't resist drawing it out! I wonder if anyone would tune in to see what me and my birds get up to :P
