It's so refreshing to see a serious thinker, especially in the MTG space, which is saturated with groupthink.
I've been shocked at the vitriol or otherwise dogmatic thinking I've encountered when building out DeckCheck (a deckbuilder with some AI stuff).
People have closed the door in my face, not because they've seriously considered the way in which I'm using AI for the site, but because AI is a boogyman and it's blasphemy in any form or fashion.

Do I see AI (in the creative fields especially) as posing all sorts of risks and dangers? Abso-fucking-lutely. Am I going to sit here and be uninformed and unable to adapt? Abso-fucking-lutely not. My child is being raised in this world and I will do everything in my power to make sure he grows up in a way where this technology will not ruin his life, and that to me means understanding and learning as fast as I can how to position myself and my family in all sorts of scenario against the backdrop of what I see as an inevitable proliferation and widespread adoption of AI.

The new AI “psychosis” is the group of rabid & chronically online individuals who attack others for simply *talking* about it or engaging with it in any way, choosing to see this behavior as some flat out full endorsement of its adoption without any scrutiny or guardrails.

One thing that slowly ended for me was talking about the future the way we used to, where we act like it will mostly be like today. Where the kids will go to college, or who the president might be, or how much a car will cost. A few years out from today is now just a black hole.
