The Bible gives no pattern for salvation in which one must believe in anything remotely close to the Trinity. Jesus never taught it, nor did the apostles.

Unitarians are in such a bad place in debate. They absolutely cannot win on the technical matter. Indeed they don't have a single person on Earth competent enough to even do that. All they can hope for is a cheap rhetorical win, and most of the time they don't even get that.

Wow, I’m glad your limited reading comprehension does not determine my salvation! “I AM” is not a name for God, full stop. If it was, show me which prophet uses it? Trinitarians so badly read Ex 3:14 that they stop reading at verse 14, when the very next verse it explains that “I am” (which should really be translated as “I will be” meaning, I will be with you and not forsake you”, is the MEANING of God’s actual revealed name, Yahweh. And that name is used by every Old Testament prophet. What Jesus did say in John 8 is that unless you believe that he is the Messiah (Abraham was told that his human son would bless the entire world) then you will die in your sins. I believe Jesus is the Messiah.

@Barely_Christ Correct that it is not an exegetical question. Theologically you might note this: the Jews had an extreme (but proper) fixation on monotheism, of worshiping God alone. They would never worship a human qua human. On the other hand, there was conflation; He "took on" human nature.
