Launching a new .whatever namespace is easy. Building naming infrastructure that works across wallets, apps, exchanges, and the web is much harder.
Why ENS chose to extend the existing internet namespace instead of inventing new roots ⤵️

@samuelpigny thx. just launched it recently but I bought some old related domains with backlinks and redirect them for a boost
English

That's a really nice website! And great domain name! This might have been a premium one? 😃
DR 45, many backlinks. This domain might have quite some history, good backlinks together with some that might have been spam in the past. Time will clean that, just focus on getting nice new clean backlinks to improve the overall quality 🚀

@Castello_Bros “I just emailed you that breaking news, it’s rachel.maddow@msnow.com right?”
English

@aoxborrow Reality hits soon. The public's going to stumble all over this.
Wisely, they pointed MSNBC to it.
English

This is a pretty dumb rebrand, but interesting they launched without the .COM, even flaunting it:
"no .com needed"
I suspect Mr. Motorized Snow Vehicles will get paid ...eventually.

MS NOW@MSNOWNews
Introducing MS.NOW, our new website. That’s right, no .com needed. Same mission. New site. Check out MS.NOW today.

@aoxborrow When will domain.io get the .com? I suspect Net sol will get paid eventually.
English

@mikemanndotcom hmmm, a bit sus. neither is developed and both still show "ns1.domain-is-4-sale-at-domainmarket․com"

@danywander the icon is better than before but still don't love it. i think the wordmark stands on its own. if you need an icon, maybe use one that is closer to the DC in the wordmark, but don't use them together. i have no idea why I'm so invested in this logo

One of my early misses….Sold Replicate.com way too cheap in 2019.

Replicate@replicate
Big news: Replicate is joining Cloudflare. Replicate's going to carry on as a distinct brand, and all that will happen is that it’s going to get way better: it’ll be faster, we’ll have more resources, and it’ll integrate with the rest of Cloudflare’s Developer Platform. replicate.com/blog/replicate…

@domainpro pretty tough with domain content I think. seems that suggesting good domains/auctions doen’t get much interaction on those posts (eg. @cultra). people don’t want to invite competition.
English

@MyBrandDomains @AGreatDomain @Dynadot @NamecheapCEO @dynatodd yep one of the issues with removing bids and recalculating is it’s not fair to other bidders, who might have bid again at that price range. but this is effectively the same as restarting the auction, doesn’t really benefit anyone
English

@AGreatDomain @Dynadot @NamecheapCEO Just restart at the price it was before the removed bidder bid and add days... maybe 3, 5, 7 - whatever. It would be the most ethical and honest way. @dynatodd @NamecheapCEO
