Engineering (CSE) from a bad college has become the coping mechanism of the Indian students. India produces roughly 1.5 Million engineering graduates every single year and only about 35% have actual skills to pass an entry level job test. 20% to 30% of the hired students(35%) from Tier 2-3 get hired by TCS type (WITCH) companies. And nowadays even TCS type companies have dropped hiring by 75%. Engineering colleges in India are still selling the 2016 dream in 2026. - Pay huge money. - Do CSE. - Memorise useless stuff for 4 years. - Sit for placements with 5000 other people. - Fight for the same jobs. Any good coder who is making good money is just building projects, shipping products and getting paid, why do you need a Btech degree with a garbage college. If you want to code, then code. You do not need ₹10 lakh and 4 years just to learn loops and make a calculator app. The supply of CSE engineers is exploding and Demand is just not there. Most of these students take admission with the hope and cope of some miracle.
