In a major step towards a greener, self-reliant Andhra Pradesh, I had the honor of laying the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant in Kanigiri, Prakasam district, being established by Reliance Bio Energy Limited. With an investment of ₹65,000 crore, this transformative project will set up 500 CBG plants across the state, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a leader in sustainable energy production while generating approximately 2.5 lakh jobs. Each CBG plant will have a production capacity of 22 tonnes per day and nearly 5 lakh acres of wasteland will be used for energy plantation. Of the 2,000 CBG plants that Reliance aims to establish across India, a quarter are being set up in AP alone. This shows the unshakable confidence of investors in Hon'ble CM Shri Chandrababu Naidu Garu's leadership and his game-changing new Industrial Policies for our state. This initiative marks a significant milestone in our efforts toward clean energy-led economic growth as it will play a crucial role in boosting AP as a leader in biofuel production.
