@TriciaDearborn @maskedmamaB Most of the world unfortunately dropped in life expectancy after COVID hit. It will likely keep dropping as countries let it rip and reinfect in mass to sustain their GDP. Things can be done to help like cleaning the air etc. but they refuse at the costs. Sad world really.

@ColinDMello @fordnation There are too many other systems in place across the board that eat up the funds the kids and schools need. I’d like to see a chart of the money given by the province out and where it actually goes before it makes it to the schools and kids. Maybe I’m wrong. It’s just how see it

@ColinDMello @fordnation Yes. Most boards also likely are over bloated with too much BS and people at the top with large salaries. How many different boards and systems do we have across the province. Too many all with top earning positions that let’s be honest are redundant. Teachers + schools matter

NEW: The Minister of Education has appointed a two-person panel to review EQAO after the Ford government saw another year of below-expectation results. The government says "once the review is complete, the final report will be presented to the Minister and made publicly available." No timelines. #onpoli #onted

High school, college and university students came to Queen's Park to highlight concerns about the Ford government's changes to OSAP - telling the Premier they and their parents are taxpayers too. #onpoli

@mynamesnotgordy Sounds like Trump has a bad case of CDS. Too bad the only cure is a beaver tail and some maple syrup.

We all knew after Pam Bondi’s farcical performance today that Donnie would need to come up with another distraction and his favourite go-to tantrum these days is almost always the Maple boogeymen.

Trump: “Canada has taken advantage of the United States on Trade for many years. They are among the worst in the World to deal with, especially as it relates to our Northern Border. TARIFFS make a WIN for us, EASY. Republicans must keep it that way! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP”

Productive meetings today with the White House and State Department. The President asked me to pass along a message: “Tell the Canadians I love them.” I'll have much more to say later. More meetings with Senators, GM, and others this week.

🚨 Bad news 🇨🇦Canada just lost pricing power. Good news 🟢 A narco-state gets brought back into line. A U.S.-friendly president means Washington resets fast 🇺🇸 Sanctions ease. Venezuelan heavy crude comes back online 🛢️ That’s cheaper oil flowing into America — our only serious customer. Meanwhile, Canada 🇨🇦: • Killed Keystone XL ❌ • Delayed East–West pipelines ⏳ • Never secured Asia or Europe 🌏 Energy markets don’t care about intentions. They care about access, price, and reliability. We chose virtue signalling. The bill shows up in lost revenue, weaker growth, and fewer jobs 📉 #Alberta #Canada #Energy #Oil #Cdnpoli #venezuelalibre

This is massive news of global importance. What it means for Canada economically isn’t good. Venezuelan oil is similar to Canada’s heavy bitumen. The Americans will now need less from us as they scoop us Venezuelan oil.

@joshsteimle @BernieSanders So the top elite will stay with all the money and luxuries and everyone below will get a UBI and be happy with what they get to pay rent and feed themselves living from government check to check? Sounds familiar. I think I heard of something like this before only worded different

Short term transitions are painful. That’s true in every technological shift. But this is an argument for reducing barriers to adaptation, not freezing progress. High rent today is caused by zoning laws and housing restrictions, not AI. The fix is cheaper living, faster adaptation, and fewer constraints, not permanent dependency.

Elon Musk: "AI and robots will replace all jobs. Working will be optional." Bill Gates: "Humans won't be needed for most things." I have a simple question. Without jobs and income, how will people feed their families, get health care, or pay the rent?

@JasminLaine_ News sites much like influence personality’s post and produce stuff based on clicks and likes. It’s all about pulling that online traffic through. Even if it is something irrelevant. If there are enough people willing to click on it to see what it is about it gets put out.

@smally60_OG @Coffey4Canada2 He lost because most people and businesses that are in his riding do not support him anymore as he has not supported them. He is too focused on being PM and doesn’t give a crap about anyone else. Not gerrymandering. Not anything else. 100% him. Most still support the party.

Holy shit. Vassy Kapelos took a flamethrower to PP. “You were supposed to win this election, you lost it. You didn’t hold your own seat and have now lost 3 MP’s. At what point are you a liability to the party?” 🔥🔥🔥

We’re building and expanding schools so students get the safe, modern learning spaces they deserve. The Liberal record? Over 600 school closures and crumbling buildings. Ontario families deserved better, and we’re delivering it.

@CheriDiNovo People that would normally vote have not been. Why? From the people I have talked to, they just don’t go because there was no one good to vote for. Then a group that supports Ding Dong go out and vote. People won’t vote out of protest to show to the Parties they need be better

@ONeducation These kids where in kindergarten when for took office and started his major cuts. He was warned then but didn’t listen. The COVID hit and we know it causes damage to the brain but Ford keeps pushing re-infection tactics. You don’t need a comprehensive review. You need a brain.

@ColinDMello It’s funny how a government that has been in power for so long keeps blaming everyone else for their mistakes. First thing @fordnation did when getting into power was cut schools. Cut healthcare. Then all the scandals. It’s this poor judgement government’s fault. No one else.
