I agree that intent is important. The use of pipe bombs clearly violates federal laws as 'acts dangerous to human life'. We're going to have to see how this shakes out. I still think - regardless of the politics - the act of setting off bombs in a public place where intent could be linked to the clientele (wealth) - may cross the 'domestic terrorism' line.

Its only domestic terrorism if his motive was related to politics. From what I read yesterday, he had been harassing people connected to this place for quite some time which makes me lean more towards a personal motive as does the fact that he used to work there. There are a host of other more political targets he could have chosen if his leftist politics motivated this
