ICYMI: Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson was honored as the National Football League Players Association Week 5 Community MVP for his impactful literacy initiative, "BijanReads." On September 23, he hosted a book fair at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, serving over 7,700 APS students! He also launched the "BijanReads" program, which includes installing 54 reading corners in local schools, recording bedtime stories, and hosting book clubs. We kicked off GA Pre-K Week with a read-aloud to our brilliant Pre-K students! Their quick, thoughtful (& often hilarious) answers prove that our future is in great hands. Later, we visited the Dunbar #Bulldogs in the classroom. Great to see students full of pride & purpose.
