I had the absolute pleasure of giving a webinar for the Roads to the Past (@TLSBigDig) group last night, talking about my research on pottery production in medieval Yorkshire. Such a great opportunity to share some of my interim results. Thanks so much for having me! (@WRoCAH)

How did medieval sailors cook? #MedievalMonday Discovery of cauldrons and a brazier in Britain's only 13th-century shipwreck suggests they did so on board, where previously it was believed they must have gone ashore to cook. 🆓 buff.ly/46CAfwE

The next article we're highlighting is Eleanor Standley's: ‘Ffylle the Cuppe and Make Vs Mery’: Lobed-Drinking Vessels and Their Use in Later Medieval England. It explores the drinking material culture of the medieval middling elites. (Image: York Museum Trust CC BY SA 4.0).

#FindsFriday! We’ve got a lovely Roman flagon with a great view of how the handle was attached. You can see that a slit was cut into the body of the vessel and the bottom of the handle pushed through. After, it was smoothed over on the outer surface, but left unfinished inside.
