1st month at @NotionHQ, back of napkin reflections: - AI twitter reminds me a lot of crypto twitter, just less chaotic but about the same tempo. - Think I joined Notion at a monumental time (company direction, momentum, & acceleration). - I said this in another post, but the team is stacked. Feels like everyone I meet is crucial to the biz and truly owns their work. - Insane to me how global the fan/customer base is. I find myself constantly translating tweets from other languages just to do community management. - Love that I was able to jump right into things. Big launch next week, I'm stoked. - I was surprised by how many of my friends reached out to tell me they love using Notion for their business (I knew a lot of people used it to keep their lives in order but so many founder/creator friends run their biz on Notion too). A few things I'm excited to work on: - I'd like to build a culture of being online here. We're currently there in pockets across the company, but I'd like to play a big role in setting the tone, providing guidance, and hands on support. We crushed this at LinkedIn & a16z. Notion can only get so far with the brand accounts, we can scale much further with our people. - I think we do a great job at product & brand content on social but I'd like to expand our strategy a bit. I keep asking myself "If Notion were a person, what would they say? What would they ask? What are their thoughts, takes, and strong beliefs about the world of work/tech/AI/productivity". I've started implementing this via community management for now but be shipping more native content soon. - We have some incredible leaders (many of them were past founders, sold their companies to Notion, or are simply experts at in their niche of work). We can do a better job of helping them tell their stories, knowledge, and opinions with the world. - Notion is truly building helpful AI tools that will change the world of work for a lot of companies. We can tell this story better -- big focus for me. ---- This should be fun. Thanks for coming along with me on the journey. 🫡

@dev_savvi @DeniTechh I’ve got a M.Sc in Architecture from a top 20 university, for pretty much free (EU) you pay 19 euros for a shitty udemy course you never finish. We’re not the same.

@DeniTechh She's a glorified UI designer who had to pay 10000x more what it costs on udemy. She knows nothing of the dev struggle

@archi_mado 😅 it's kinda funny, was at an AutoDesk accredited firm, felt like a branch of AutoDesk. Someone told me about it and I applied. Got a call many weeks later( I forgot I even applied 🤷‍♂️). I was the only person in that set not from an Architectural or Civil engineering background.
