@ryanwhitney6 40 minutes from my house. Used to grocery shop in Buffalo when the dollar was at par. Camille knew how to save a buck. We’d fill up the gas tank and grab some wings on the way home. Ford aerostar bitch. I would build forts in that muthafucka

Leafs run your show @peshghi. If you think the Leafs got problems what do the Devils have? No Matthews. No Nylander. No Tanev. They still get it done. Really proud of the boys. Clawing their way back. People were giving up on this team. Not me. Even when it got ugly I knew they’d get it back together.

Legalized Sports Betting as it currently stands will devastate America in a similar fashion to the opioid epidemic. At a bare minimum, I'd recommend these changes - 1. Limit Ads: Sports betting ads should be restricted, especially those targeting youth whose decision-making isn't fully developed. 2. No Credit Cards: Ban credit card deposits to prevent gambling with money people don't have. 3. Protect Vulnerable Bettors: Prevent sites from exploiting problem gamblers or VIPs with higher custom limits while simultaneously banning or restricting professionals or winning gamblers. As someone that made a living betting on Sports in mostly unregulated "outlaw" markets, these are my personal views, I can see how it may come across hypocritical to some.. But thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. Curious what changes (if any) would others make?

in retrospect, legalizing sports betting was a horrible idea

What a career for Sergei Berezin. Only card I’m missing is one from his time with @Koelner_Haie_72. I may have to use his game-used stick for the rest of my summer season.

I probably never would have loved hockey as much as I do if it wasn’t for Sergei Berezin. He was my hero as a little kid. RIP @serber94. The entire NHL family will miss you.

NHL Alumni@NHLAlumni

The NHL Alumni Association is heartbroken to learn of the sudden passing of Sergei Berezin at the age of 52 years old. Sergei was drafted in the 10th round of the 1994 Entry Draft to the @MapleLeafs. He would soon show his spectacular play when he joined the Leafs roster in 1996, spending five seasons with the team. Berezin then played for the @ArizonaCoyotes, @CanadiensMTL, @NHLBlackhawks, and the @Capitals as his career went on. He totalled for 502 regular-season games-played, scoring 286 points. In his retirement, he enjoyed coaching minor hockey, playing tennis, and most importantly, spending time with his family. We send our deepest condolences to Sergei’s family, friends, and former teammates during this extremely difficult time.

Big thanks to those who listened, & didn't get bogged down in the player used as an example in talking about hockey's exclusionary structure. As I've said, I'll own it that I opened the door to the discussion getting derailed. I hope it's become obvious now who isn't willing to question the power structures in hockey, for players, managers, media, and more. We talk a lot about hockey culture needing to change and grow, but if the reaction to merely questioning way we tell stories results in so much vitriol, it's an even bigger problem than I thought. And hockey culture will never change if we can't stop the sport from only including those with the most money or most connections, or both. The uniform response by many of hockey media's power players, when they stay so silent on serious issues, should give you pause. I don't mind pissing people off if I feel something needs to be said. I don't mind admitting mistakes either, that's how you learn. I hope the speed to which the hockey media establishment banded together over perceived dismissiveness over a player accomplishment as opposed to the silence on many serious issues is obvious to more people now.

In media, we have a responsibility to tell stories, but too often they’re just not honest. The narrative around Zach Hyman’s first 50-goal season for example, erases the real reason it was possible. It wasn’t just hard work. Follow me on tiktok and instagram, for more.

When you see my new Algonquin maps, the first thing you’ll notice is that everything is *way* bigger than on the old ones. 70% bigger in fact. 🔎 What’s my trick? Simple. Before, I had 4 single sided map sections. Now, I have 5 double sided ones. I can’t wait to show you!
